Det har länge snackats om att spelserien skulle bli långfilm och det har slängts runt namn som Matthew McConaughey och Nathan Fillion som involverade skådespelare. Men något konkret har vi inte fått höra fram tills nu. På den officiella Playstation-bloggen skriver Naughty Dogs Evan Wells att spelet kommer få en långfilms-adaption.
I am happy to confirm that it is indeed true, Sony Computer Entertainment has signed a deal with Columbia Pictures for a movie adaptation of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and it will be produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner. We have been working with Avi and the folks and Columbia for quite some time and look forward to sharing additional details on the film in the short future. Obviously we designed the game to be a cinematic experience and we too can't wait to see it on the big screen.
Mycket mer än så vet vet vi inte förrutom att spelet kommer baseras på händelserna från det första spelet Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.
The story follows a descendent of explorer Sir Francis Drake, a treasure hunter named Nate Drake who believes he has learned the whereabouts of El Dorado, the fabled South American golden city, from a cursed golden statue. The search becomes competitive when a rival hunter joins the fray, then is racheted up several notches when creatures - actually mutated descendants of Spaniards and Nazis - begin attacking those hoping to learn the treasure's true secrets.
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune var ett riktigt bra spel och känns knappt att det behöver bli långfilm då spelet lyckades förmedla äventyrsfilmskänslan mycket bra. Men om det nu skall bli film hade jag gärna velat se Joe Flanigan eller Nathan Fillion som Nathan Drake men inte Matthew McConaughey.
