Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit och Burnout-utvecklaren Criterion Games tillkännagav i dag att de från och med nu har kontroll över hela Need for Speed-serien. Criterions Alex Ward berättade i en intervju med den amerikanska speltidningen GameInformer att EA har gett dem ansvaret och att de är mer än redo att ta över denna omåttligt populära spelserie.
Going forward now, with Most Wanted and what we’ll do in the future [will have], shall we say, a strong Criterion involvement. I’m personally involved in how the cars drive, how the game will play out, how connected they are, and what the features are.
Det innebär alltså att inga andra studios, till exempel Black Box, kommer göra Need for Speed-spel längre.
Nästa Need for Speed-spel blir Most Wanted som släpps den 2:e november.
