Bethesda avslöjar systemkraven för Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Bethesda meddelade i dag att Windows-versionen av Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus kommer få en rad olika inställningsmöjligheter som gör att man kan anpassa spelet baserat på ens hårdvara och preferenser. Inställningar som bildförhållanden, FOV, Motion Blur och Depth of Field kan man trixa med om man vill. Windows-versionen har inte heller någon låst frame rate så har man feta datorn kan man tokmaxa den. Bethesda släppte även systemkraven för spelet och de samt de olika inställningarna kan hittas i faktalådan nedan. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus släpps den 27 oktober. Tumnagel

Frågor och svar kring PlayStation VR
Sony ställer och svarar på många, många frågor

Under gårdagen slängde Sony upp en så kallad FAQ om sitt kommande headset för virtuell verklighet, PlayStation VR. Runt 70 frågor och svar har man uppe för tillfället så det täcker en hel del. Här hittar man svar på vad man kan göra med detta headset förutom att spela spel, hur Cinematic Mode fungerar och hur ofta de rekommenderar att man tar en paus. En annan grej som kom fram här är att HDR inte fungerar om man har headsetet inkopplat så om man har en sådan flådig tv och vill utnyttja HDR måste man första koppla ut headsetet ur PlayStationet. Inte hela världen kanske men potentiellt störigt för de som drabbas av detta. Q: Does the Processor Unit support 4K and HDR pass through? The PU supports video pass through so that you can enjoy regular non-VR content on your TV when you have the PS4 connected to the TV via the PU, and the PU is connected to power via the AC adapter and the PS VR headset is not in use. This pass through support works for regular 1080p signals and also supports 2160p (UHD or ‘4K’) content in YUV 420 colour format at up to 60Hz from PlayStation Pro. However, HDR signals are not supported for pass through by the PU. This applies to both 1080p and 2160p HDR. If you have a HDR capable TV and want to view PS4 content in HDR, it is necessary to cable the PS4 directly to the TV. Star Wars: Battlefront lär få uppföljare
EA vill släppa fler Star Wars-spel

Electronic Arts licensavtal med Disney, som ger dem rättigheterna att utveckla spel som handlar om Star Wars, är runt tio år långt och den tiden tänker företaget utnyttja så mycket det bara går. Star Wars: Battlefront släpps som bekant om två dagar i Europa (i dag i USA) och EA har också meddelat att de redan jobbar på ett annat Star Wars-spel som ska ha influenser från nedlagda Star Wars 1313 och som utvecklas av Visceral Games. Men det kan komma mer än så. Under pågående UBS Global Technology Conference in San Francisco pratade CFO Blake Jorgensen om framtiden och nämnde att Battlefront kommer att få minst en uppföljare och att flera andra spel i Star Wars-universumet är planerade till så väl konsoler, mobiltelefoner och PC. "Itx27s a big effort for us, and I donx27t think therex27s a human being in the world who hasnx27t heard of the Star Wars movie coming. And so, [itx27s a] great opportunity. We struck a licensing deal with Disney a few years back thatx27s almost ten years in length. The game that comes out tomorrow, Star Wars Battlefront, is a traditional first-person style shooter game. Our goal is to make future Battlefront games as well as other style games around the Star Wars franchise, both on mobile as well as console and PC. Itx27s a huge opportunity for us." Tumnagel

Jade Raymond jobbar nu med Star Wars hos EA
Blir boss för nya studion Motive Studios

I oktober förra året meddelade producenten Jade Raymond att hon lämnar Ubisoft och arbetet som producent för Assassinx27s Creed-serien. Då var det inte säkert vad hon skulle göra istället. Men nu vet vi. Jade har nämligen börjat hos EA och ska där jobba med Amy Hennings kommande Star Wars-spel som chef för EA:s nya studio Motive Studios. Kommer inte att vara konsolspecifikt

Det kan mycket väl komma ett Titanfall 2 framöver hintar CEO Blake Jorgensen från EA. Han använder orden troligen och meddelar också att en tvåa i så fall inte kommer att vara konsolexklusiv så som föregångaren är. "Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we havenx27t yet announced, but wex27ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. PewDiePie tjänar inte längre bäst

Statistiktjänsten Social Blade har sammanställt en lista över vilka användare på YouTube som drar in mest pengar, och svenske PewDiePie får nu se sig nedflyttad till andraplatsen då en tjej som kommenterar leksaker nu ska vara den som tjänar mest på sina videoklipp. Enligt Social Blade drar YouTube-användaren DisneyCollectorBR årligen drar in mellan 1,5 till 23,4 miljoner dollar på sina YouTube-klipp. Det kan jämföras med PewDiePie som anses tjäna mellan 1,2 till 18,9 miljoner dollar på YouTube. Att spannet på inkomsterna är så stort förklarar Jenna Arnold på Social Blade med: "The range is huge because the CPMs [cost per thousand views] vary SO much. They can be anywhere from $0.25 to $4.00 on average. It’s a huge range because we just don’t know CPM’s for individual channels, or many of the factors that would affect it, like what country their audience is based in, how many views are from mobile, how many of their viewers have Adblock, etc. Stuff like that all affects earnings." "I'm leaving Mojang"

I dag blev det klart att Microsoft köper Mojang och det här är Notch avskedsbrev. I don’t see myself as a real game developer. I make games because it’s fun, and because I love games and I love to program, but I don’t make games with the intention of them becoming huge hits, and I don’t try to change the world. Minecraft certainly became a huge hit, and people are telling me it’s changed games. I never meant for it to do either. It’s certainly flattering, and to gradually get thrust into some kind of public spotlight is interesting. A relatively long time ago, I decided to step down from Minecraft development. Jens was the perfect person to take over leading it, and I wanted to try to do new things. At first, I failed by trying to make something big again, but since I decided to just stick to small prototypes and interesting challenges, I’ve had so much fun with work. I wasn’t exactly sure how I fit into Mojang where people did actual work, but since people said I was important for the culture, I stayed. I was at home with a bad cold a couple of weeks ago when the internet exploded with hate against me over some kind of EULA situation that I had nothing to do with. I was confused. I didn’t understand. I tweeted this in frustration. Later on, I watched the This is Phil Fish video on YouTube and started to realize I didn’t have the connection to my fans I thought I had. I’ve become a symbol. I don’t want to be a symbol, responsible for something huge that I don’t understand, that I don’t want to work on, that keeps coming back to me. I’m not an entrepreneur. I’m not a CEO. I’m a nerdy computer programmer who likes to have opinions on Twitter. As soon as this deal is finalized, I will leave Mojang and go back to doing Ludum Dares and small web experiments. If I ever accidentally make something that seems to gain traction, I’ll probably abandon it immediately. Considering the public image of me already is a bit skewed, I don’t expect to get away from negative comments by doing this, but at least now I won’t feel a responsibility to read them. I’m aware this goes against a lot of what I’ve said in public. I have no good response to that. I’m also aware a lot of you were using me as a symbol of some perceived struggle. I’m not. I’m a person, and I’m right there struggling with you. I love you. All of you. Thank you for turning Minecraft into what it has become, but there are too many of you, and I can’t be responsible for something this big. In one sense, it belongs to Microsoft now. In a much bigger sense, it’s belonged to all of you for a long time, and that will never change. It’s not about the money. It’s about my sanity. Ajöss och tack för fisken! Tumnagel
