Last cars with Ferrari engine to be produced this year

Maserati has confirmed that the Trofeo versions of the Levante, Ghibli, and Quattroporte with V8 engines will cease production this year, marking the end of an era for the engine built in collaboration with Ferrari. Since 1959 Maserati has produced over 100,000 cars with V8 engines, so this is a significant milestone. Once all eight-cylinder cars are sold the Nettuno V6 and electric motors will take over.

To celebrate the engine the Zèda Edition cars in the pictures have been created. They are a nod to the GranTurismo Zèda which was unveiled in 2019.

The next generation of Quattroporte and Levante is expected to arrive in 2024 and 2025 respectively and both will be fully electric. From 2030 Maserati will only sell electric cars.
