Meta ser ut att göra sitt bästa för att stoppa boken "Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism" från att bli läst. Boken är skriven av den före detta Facebook-anställde Sarah Wynn-Williams och innehåller en del historier från hennes tid på företaget som inkluderar bland annat sexuella trakasserier och samarbeten med Kina.

Meta har nu lyckats förhindra Sarah Wynn-Williams från att göra PR för boken efter ett skiljeförfarande. Skiljeförfarandet förhindrar dock inte att bokförlaget Flatiron Books eller deras ägare Macmillan från att sälja boken. Den släpptes på den amerikanska marknaden i tisdags och ligger för tillfället på ~~tredje~~ andra plats över de mest sålda böckerna på Amazon.

Det verkar med andra ord som om det inte gör så mycket att Wynn-Williams inte får göra någon PR för boken. Den så kallade Streisandeffekten ser ut att ge boken betydligt mer marknadsföring än vad hon och hennes bokförlag skulle ha lyckats åstadkomma på egen hand.
