Engelskan har fått 23 nya ord
Oxford University Press har släppt en lista med 23 nya ord som nu ingår i orden som finns på OxfordDictionaries.com. För att ett ord ska hamna där krävs det att det är allmänt spritt och används i dagligt bruk.Ett av de nya orden är "MacGyver" vilket är ett verb som beskriver att man reparerar något på ett kreativt eller annorlunda sätt. Andra nya är bland annat "hangry", "manspreading", "beer o'clock", "buttdial" och "ragequit". Man har även lagt till ordet "Mx" som får ses som en motsvarighet till svenskans "hen".Bara för att orden nu finns på OxfordDictionaries.com betyder inte per automatik att det kommer att dyka upp i lexikonet "Oxford English Dictionary", en ordbok som har listat ord på engelska sedan 1857. Under "Läs mer" hittar ni samtliga 23 nya ord och beskrivningar av dessa.
