Ubisoft är inte främmande för årlig utgivning

Om bara kvaliteten är tillräckligt hög så fungerar det att ge ut ett spel om året i en spelserie. Och Ubisoft satsar på många fler uppföljare för Assassin's Creed.

"It's very simple to me. There's no such thing as not being able to annualize a franchise. If it's good, people will come."
Det sa seriens executive director Laurent Detoc i en intervju med Gamasutra och när de ställde frågan om det kunde bli en Assassin's Creed 10 så blev svaret "Det hoppas jag".

Laurent berättar också att de har flera team som jobbar med serien just nu på olika håll och att kärngruppen jobbat med serien i tre år.

"We have multiple groups now working [on the series]. We started this one in January 2010, the same time as Brotherhood and before Revelations.

The core team on this one has been working at it for almost three years, which is something you can almost never get in the industry these days - it's too expensive, too risky. So we need the other projects to support that kind of development - these big jumps.It's funny, people say it's about how often you release new entries, but I really think it's about how good they are. If they put out Breaking Bad every day I'd watch it every day. I wouldn't need other TV. So I think this usually comes up when people aren't satisfied with something we did."
Så en hel del Assassin's Creed framöver alltså med potientiellt nya platser och tidsepoker.
