Natten till i dag hölls som bekant spelgalen The Game Awards där man delade ut priser i 24 olika kategorier till spel eller personer som varit extra bra det gångna året (24 november 2015 till 24 november 2016). Spelet som vann den åtråvärda titeln Game of the Year blev Overwatch som även plockade hem kategorierna Best Multiplayer Game, Best Esports Game samt Best Game Direction.
