The Game Awards hyllar Hideo Kojima

Natten till i dag så vann Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain ett pris på The Game Awards för Best Action/Adventure Game. Kiefer Sutherland sprang upp på scenen för att motta priset och kort efter pratade showens värd, Geoff Keighley, om varför Hideo Kojima själv inte kunde komma för att motta priset. Anledningen till att han inte kunde komma var ett kontrakt som Kojima har med Konami. Detta kontrakt gör att han inte fick resa till galan för att motta något relaterat till spelet."As you noticed, Hideo Kojima is not here with us tonight and I wanted to tell you a little bit about that. Mr. Kojima had every intention of being with us tonight, but unfortunately he was informed by a lawyer representing Konami just recently that he would not be allowed to travel to tonight's award ceremony to accept any awards. He's under an employment contract and it's disappointing and it's inconceivable to me that an artist like Hideo would not be allowed to come here and celebrate with his peers and his fellow teammates. But that's the situation we're in. Hideo is in Tokyo right now watching the show - and we wanted you to know Hideo that we're thinking of you - and we miss you. We hope to see you at The Game Awards 2016."Så för att ändå försöka hylla Kojima lite grann bjöd galan på ett musikaliskt nummer där Stephanie Joosten (som spelar Quiet i Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain) sjöng Quiet's Theme.Bonusklipp nedan där, även det från nattens The Game Awards, Reggie Fils-Aime hyllar Satoru Iwata.
