Varken I Am Alive eller Ghost Recon: Future Soldier kommer till PC. Vad gäller I Am Alive menar utvecklarna att det var designat endast för XBLA och PSN från början. Men med Ghost Recon är det andra anledningar som ligger bakom. Det är helt enkelt ingen idé att utveckla till PC efter som spelen bara piratkopieras, menar Ubisoft.

It's hard because there's so much piracy and so few people are paying for PC games that we have to precisely weigh it up against the cost of making it. Perhaps it will only take 12 guys three months to port the game to PC, it's not a massive cost but it's still a cost. If only 50,000 people buy the game then it's not worth it.
Eftersom Ghost Recon: Future Soldier inte släpps till PC kommer alternativet istället att bli Ghost Recon Online som också är under utveckling och det är främst liknande gratisvarianter av spel som Ubisoft kommer att satsa på i framtiden om eller när det ska utvecklas till PC.

When we started Ghost Recon Online we were thinking about Ghost Recon: Future Solider; having something ported in the classical way without any deep development, because we know that 95% of our consumers will pirate the game. So we said okay, we have to change our mind. We have to adapt, we have to embrace this instead of pushing it away. That's the main reflection behind Ghost Recon Online and the choice we've made to go in this direction.
Många av konsumenterna håller dock inte med om att spel piratkopieras i den utsträckning som Ubisoft anger och dessutom anser bland andra Valve att bättre service kan bidra till att minska piratkopieringen medan offensiver mot pirater liksom DRM-lösningar inte gör det.
