Ample's battery replacements now take five minutes
Time cut in half
The battery swapping company Ample is now showcasing the next generation of its Modular Battery Swapping station. Swaps that previously took ten minutes will now take half that time. A station can be set up and ready to use in three days, and all electric cars that can swap battery packs should work here."Approaching the Ample station the car is recognized by the station and its door is automatically raised. Once perfectly parked inside the driver initiates the swap from the Ample app on their phone. Five minutes later the driver is back on the road resuming their workday."We previously announced that Fisker will start collaborating with Ample and that they will later offer the Ocean model with the ability to swap out its battery pack at these types of stations.
