Apple acquires AR company Mira

Apple has acquired the small AR company Mira, a company that produces, among other things, the AR headset Prism Pro for mobile phones, which we wrote about in 2017.

Mira has also produced AR solutions for the US military and the AR headset used for the "Mario Kart" ride at Super Nintendo World. It is unclear exactly what Apple plans to do with Mira's technology. It is not entirely impossible that the employees from Mira who are now starting to work for Apple will be involved in the development of Vision Pro, the AR headset that Apple unveiled for the first time on Monday.

There is currently no information on what Apple is paying for Mira.
