BMW M 1000 XR is the third M motorcycle

Teased as a prototype for now

In the fall of 2020 BMW Motorrad released its first M motorcycle - the M 1000 RR. Since then they have also released the M 1000 R and soon there will be a third M bike. It's called the M 1000 XR and although it has great performance, it's not a sport bike but more of an off-road tourer. It will have the same engine as its siblings and the power output is expected to be over 200 horsepower. BMW describes the bike as "A long distance sports bike with high long-range capability and supersports riding dynamics." It weighs in at 223 kilograms when fully fueled and will have sharp brakes and an M-specific chassis.

The presentation of the production version will take place sometime in the second half of this year.
