Bosch enters Volkswagen's software division
Cariad gets new boss again

Last year Christian Senger got sacked and Dirk Hilgenberg took over as head of Volkswagen's software division Cariad. They needed to address issues and fix the system that had been plagued with problems. Now, Dirk is also leaving and will be replaced by Peter Bosch who comes from Bentley. Perhaps he will be the one to get things in order? The goal of Cariad was (or is) to develop three different software platforms for cars. E3 1.1 is the version developed for mass-produced models such as the ID family. E3 1.2 is for Audi and Porsche, and the A6 e-tron and electric Macan will be the first to use it. However, there are delays in the development process so these will be postponed until sometime next year. E3 2.0 is the top of the iceberg and this software is developed for cars that will be based on the new electric vehicle platform SSP, which was supposed to come in 2026. But they won't be able to make it ready on time and now they're saying 2028 or 2029 for E3 2.0.According to rumors it's not just Dirk who will be leaving but almost the entire current leadership team of Cariad.
