Disney unveils Baby Groot robot

Possible Future Appearance at Disney World

Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development has developed a small animatronic robot that may be used in their amusement parks in the future. The robot is about one meter tall and is intended to bring Disney characters of similar size to life in various contexts.

In the clip above, you can check out what the robot looks like in the form of "Baby Groot," a character featured in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. However, the robot seems to have been developed to also be able to depict other characters of similar size.

Disney currently has no plans to introduce their new robot in their amusement parks, but it is not at all impossible that it, or further developed versions of the robot, will appear at Disney Parks facilities in the future.
