The company Drobo seems to be ceasing to exist as its owner StorCentric has filed for bankruptcy, reports Apple Insider.

Drobo gained a lot of attention when they released various storage solutions in quite stylish formats from 2005 onwards. We wrote quite often about Drobo here at Feber, and in 2009, our editor-in-chief Roger wrote that "I want a Drobo". Roger never bought a Drobo, and it seems that several others followed his example as the company is now going bankrupt due to falling finances.

On Drobo's website, it now states that the company no longer sells any products, and those interested in support for their existing Drobo products are referred to fix this themselves.
