Taking over from Musk in a few weeks

Yesterday, Twitter owner Elon Musk announced on Twitter that he has found someone to take over as CEO for Twitter and its parent company, X. The identity of the new CEO has not been officially announced, but Musk revealed that it is a woman who will take over in six weeks. The Wall Street Journal speculates that it could be Linda Yaccarino, who currently serves as the advertising chief for media company NBC Universal.

Yaccarino and Musk reportedly have a good relationship, and she has spoken favorably about him in the past. She was likely involved in a partnership between NBC Universal and Twitter, which will see Twitter showing videos from the 2024 Olympics. Just last week, Yaccarino participated in a panel discussion with Musk about Twitter 2.0 at the MMA Possible marketing conference, which you can watch in the video above.

Musk himself will take on the role of CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at Twitter and become chairman of the board when he steps down as CEO.
