Elon Musk hints at two new Tesla models
New Roadster may start production next year
Yesterday Tesla held a shareholder meeting where they discussed a variety of topics. One of the main points of discussion was teasers for two upcoming models that Elon Musk predicts could sell over five million units per year combined. The design and manufacturing process for these models are said to be far ahead of anything currently in the automotive industry. However, more information about these models will be released at a later date, and it remains to be seen if they are updated versions of the Model 3 (Project Highland) and Model Y (Project Juniper). The teaser image looks very similar to a Model Y. Elon had this to say:"I just want to emphasize that we are actually building a new product, we are actually designing a new product. There are two new products that I think you will be very excited about."Regarding the new Roadster Elon stated that it will "hopefully" begin production next year. It was first unveiled in 2017 so it has been a while now. The design and technology for the car should be finalized this year, but we will have to wait and see.During the meeting Elon also confirmed that the Cybertruck pickup will begin deliveries later this year and there was a prototype on site that is said to be very close to the final product.
