The chinese electric car manufacturer Nio has made a big deal out of the fact that their cars battery packs can be swapped at stations instead of being charged with a cord. The swap only takes five minutes and the whole process is supposed to be simple and smooth. The company Ample offers the same thing and now they have teamed up with Fisker and announced that it will be possible to swap out the empty battery pack for a fully charged one in the upcoming model Ocean. Development work is in full swing and the goal is for it to be possible during the first quarter of next year.

Fisker will start delivering the first Oceans in Europe from May 5th - this Friday.
