It's almost time for Apple to showcase iOS 17 at WWDC, but we may have already gotten a glimpse of one of the new features. According to Twitter leaker Analyst941, the update will introduce a new interface for the lock screen when navigation is in progress. In the images, we see how the navigation instructions take over the entire lock screen and how users seem to be able to swipe upwards to access their notifications, while the directions remain in the background.

If navigation is in progress with iOS 17, the maps will automatically open and users will have to swipe away the entire app to access the lock screen.
