Atari is reportedly soon releasing a new game for its "ancient" Atari 2600, a game console that was released in 1977 and has not had a new official game release since 1990.

Mr. Run and Jump is a 2D platform game where the player must guide a character through various levels and avoid obstacles along the way. The game will also be released in a modern version that can be played on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Below is a trailer for the modern version of Mr. Run and Jump. At the beginning of the trailer, a short scene is shown that I assume is meant to represent what the game might look like on an Atari 2600. The game is set to be released "soon".
