Laffite Automobili unveils three electric models
One for the street, one for the track and one for off-road driving
Bruno Laffite, nephew of former F1 driver Jacques Laffite and Pascal Cohen are the founders of Laffite Automobili. Now they have unveiled three fully electric supercars designed by Giugiaro's company GFG Style. The Barchetta is intended for street use, the LM1 for track driving and the Atrax for off-roading.The goal is to sell between 24 and 26 of each model, with the Atrax starting at $1.69 million. For that price buyers get a crossover with gull-wing doors, a carbon fiber monocoque and an F1-style steering wheel. The car boasts 858 kW/1167 horsepower and 2500 Newton-meters of torque. The 2.2-ton vehicle can go from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. It only seats three people and can travel up to 400 kilometers on a single charge. Fast charging up to 350 kW can take the battery from 10-80% in just 22 minutes. The LM1 has the same horsepower but 1600 Newton-meters of torque. It weighs only 1.65 tons and can go from 0-100 km/h in a lightning-fast 1.9 seconds. Its range is estimated at 410 kilometers. The Barchetta offers 430 kW/586 horsepower and 990 Newton-meters of torque. It can go from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and travel up to 390 kilometers on a single charge.All three cars were unveiled in Miami this week and the goal is to begin the first deliveries in March of next year.
