Can a 15-inch MacBook Air make a difference?

While Apple's services and iPhone continue to do well, the Mac division has had a slower quarter during Q2 2023, which corresponds to the first calendar quarter of the year. Tim Cook tells CNBC that he believes there are two reasons for the weaker sales: the first being the general macroeconomic situation, and the second being the comparison to the unusually strong sales of the MacBook Pro 14 and 16-inch with M1 from last year's quarter.

The company is rumored to be introducing a 15-inch MacBook Air soon, which could give the Mac sales a much-needed boost. iPad revenue dropped 13 percent compared to last year's quarter, and Apple's wearables category decreased by 1 percent. Mac sales decreased by over 31 percent to just over $7.17 billion.
