Microsoft fixes the camera on Surface Pro X
But not completely

The camera on Microsoft's Surface Pro X mysteriously stopped working last week. However, Microsoft has been fairly quick to fix the specific software bug, which likely had something to do with the clock and date on devices."Microsoft is implementing an important troubleshooting measure to reduce the issue on the most affected Windows devices. This solution may disable certain camera features or lower image quality, but should enable the camera to function until the issue is addressed by the device manufacturer with an updated camera driver," Microsoft writes. It appears to be Qualcomm's camera driver that is causing the issue, making the camera inaccessible after or on May 23, 2023. When an update for this driver is released, the camera should function perfectly.
