On Monday, Apple unveiled the fourteenth version of macOS and also announced which of the company's computers will be able to run the new macOS Sonoma.

In general, it can be said that all Macs running Apple Silicon chips will be able to run macOS Sonoma. However, there are some Intel-based Macs that will be able to take advantage of the new version of Apple's operating system. When it comes to Macs that lack Apple's security chip T2, there is only one computer, the 2019 iMac, that will receive support for macOS Sonoma.

The list below shows the Mac computers that will be able to run macOS Sonoma. For older computers, Apple usually continues to release security updates for the previous versions of the operating systems for two to three years after they are released.
