Production of Fisker Pear delayed until 2025
Issues with battery pack supplier
After the Ocean Fisker is set to release the smaller SUV Pear. The goal was to begin deliveries at the start of next year, but that won't be happening. Issues with the supplier of the car's battery pack mean that production won't begin until sometime in 2025. When the model does arrive, it will cost $29,900.Recently the first examples of the Ocean were delivered but rumors quickly surfaced that the car had been recalled due to software issues. Fisker has clearly denied this and stated that the car was delivered with a simpler version that will be updated OTA in the future. Despite this the car should function as intended and not, for example, have limited speed as was rumored. However it's clear that software in cars isn't the easiest thing to get right. Fisker has also reduced its production target for the Ocean by 10,000 units and expects to produce between 32,000 and 36,000 units this year.Bonus clip below.
