Radford has put together a Pikes Peak Edition of the Type 62-2 model, which has been equipped with a plethora of extra aerodynamic gadgets to keep it stable on the ground when it's time to mash the throttle. The vehicle has also been slimmed down, weighing in at a mere 861 kilograms. This is quite impressive considering the engine boasts 700 horsepower, so the weight-to-power ratio is actually quite favorable. The monocoque is entirely made of carbon fiber as opposed to the street version which has an aluminum one. The chassis has also been updated in several areas and the driver is now positioned in the middle of the car. The engine, which is a supercharged 3.5-liter V6, is paired with a sequential gearbox that drives the rear wheels. The car is expected to go from 0 to 100 km/h in around 2.3 seconds.

The vehicle will be driven by Tanner Foust and compete in the "exhibition class".
