Sega unveils Sonic Superstars

A game where retro meets modern

Sega has showcased their new 2D game, Sonic Superstars, where Sega's mascot Sonic the Hedgehog takes the lead in a game that seems to blend both old and new elements.

Based on the trailer, Sonic and his friends Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose can travel between the pixel graphics of the first Sonic game from 1991 to a slightly more modern version of graphics that is possible with today's technology. Players can choose to play alone or with others. The ultimate goal is to make it through and defeat Sonic's classic antagonist, Doctor Eggman (Doctor Robotnik).

is set to be released sometime this fall on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
