Sony reveals more about its disabled gaming controller

Project Leonardo is now Access Controller

Today is "Global Accessibility Awareness Day" and in connection with that, Sony has released more information about "Project Leonardo", the game controller that Sony has developed to make it easier for people with disabilities to play games on PlayStation 5.

Sony has now given the controller an official name and it is called the "Access controller". With the Access controller, players with disabilities who may have difficulty handling the PS5's DualSense controllers can use a controller that may better meet their needs. The Access controller is equipped with a wide range of buttons that can be linked to different PS5 controllers and games for the console.

Sony also showcased the app for PS5 that will be used to configure the Access controller according to the user's needs. They also mention that it is possible to connect two Access controllers with a traditional DualSense controller to provide additional options for the player to control the game, as well as the ability for two players to control a game together.

Sony has not yet announced when the Access controller will be released or what it will cost.
