Tesla once again fastest production electric car on the Ring
Pushes down Taycan from the throne
In 2021, the Tesla Model S Plaid set a record as the fastest electric production car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 7:35.579. This was beaten in August last year by a Porsche Taycan Turbo S with a time of 7:33.35. Now, Tesla has reclaimed the throne with a Model S Plaid Track Package that completed the track in 7:25.231. During the run, the driver reached a top speed of 289 km/h.It remains to be seen how long Tesla's record will stand. Rimac has been spotted at the Ring with their Nevera model and is expected to attempt a record soon.
