Tesla's battery pack is designed to last as long as the car
Only becomes twelve percent worse after 32,000 kilometers
Needing to replace the battery pack in your electric car because it has gone a long distance is just as unpleasant as having to replace the engine in your old fossil car for the same reason. And it will likely be much more expensive when it comes to the electric car as well. However, Tesla announces that the battery pack in at least Model S and X should last a long time, and after 32,000 miles, it should not have lost more than twelve percent of its capacity. This is an average and everything depends on how you have taken care of both the car and the battery, of course - how often it has been fast charged, in what temperatures it has been in, and how old it actually is. Regardless, it should easily last the entire lifespan of the car, which is of course nice.
