The car market in Sweden continues to be weak The number of newly registered cars decreased in April The car market in Sweden continues to be weak Mobility Sweden now presents fresh registration statistics which show that the car market has not fully recovered yet and that the numbers continue to decrease. In April they decreased by six percent and during the first four months of the year the number of new passenger car orders more than halved compared to the same period last year. The reason for this, not entirely unexpectedly, is the discontinued climate bonus. However, we will not see the real effects of this until after the summer. Something that continues to do well, though, is heavy trucks which have increased by 31 percent so far this year.In April, 20,586 new passenger cars were registered, of which 56 percent were rechargeable (34 percent electric cars). Companies accounted for 65 percent of the registrations, of which 65 percent were electric cars and 75 percent were plug-in hybrids. In April the Volvo XC60 was the bestseller with 999 units. In second place came the Volvo XC40 with 848 units, and in third place the Volkswagen ID.4 which sold 661 units. Close behind was the Tesla Model Y with 652 cars followed by the Kia Niro with 459 units.More statistics can be found at the link below. mobilitysweden.se Cars, Mobility Sweden, Volvo, Volkswagen, Tesla, Kia, rechargeable cars Bild till artikel
