It now seems clear that Netflix's fantasy series The Witcher will be getting a fifth season, even before the third season has premiered on the service. It was The Witcher's casting director Sophie Holland who confirmed in an interview with Deadline that a fifth season of the series is in the works:

"We're just about to start filming on season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five."

Hemsworth will take over the role of The Witcher's main character Geralt of Rivia after Henry Cavill leaves the role after the third season. The first part of The Witcher's third season will start on Netflix on June 29th, while the second part of the season will premiere on July 27th. The fourth season of the series is expected to premiere sometime next year.
