Now Nio presents the new model ET5 Touring, which is a station wagon version of the regular ET5. Just like all Nio cars, this one is also fully electric and might be a welcome addition to the Swedish market where we like station wagons.

The price starts at 576,000 SEK, but that's not entirely true. For that amount, you actually don't get a battery and instead have to rent it for 1,799 to 2,999 SEK per month, depending on the size you choose. There are two different battery options - 75 or 100 kWh. The first one provides a range of 43.5 miles, while the second one offers 56 miles. The 75 kWh battery can be charged up to 140 kW, while the 100 kWh battery can only be charged up to 125 kW. You can buy the car with the battery included, but then it will cost you from 706,000 SEK with the 75 kWh battery and from 816,000 SEK with the 100 kWh battery. Just like before, you can also subscribe to the car if you don't want to pay all the money upfront, but it's a hefty sum to throw out every month. For the car with the 75 kWh battery, they want 12,459 SEK per month, and for the 100 kWh battery, the amount is 13,799 SEK. Like other Nio models, you can replace the battery pack at battery swap stations. In two weeks, one will open in Enköping, in mid-August one in Frihamnen Stockholm, and in September one in Arlandastad.

Right now, there is only one drivetrain option to choose from, and it's all-wheel drive with one motor in the front and one in the back. The one in the front provides 204 horsepower, while the one in the back is 286 horsepower. The total power is stated as 489 horsepower, with a torque of 700 Newton meters. It should go from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds.

In the trunk, you can fit 493 liters, and if you fold the rear seats, it increases to 1,300 liters. These numbers are slightly lower than in the Volvo V60, and there is no frunk. The towing capacity is up to 1.4 tons, and if you want a tow hitch, it costs an additional 13,000 SEK.

The car can be ordered now, and the first deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
