TikTok tests own chatbot

TikTok has started testing an AI chatbot called Tako, which can recommend videos based on what users ask it. Tako can answer a variety of questions and will provide suggestions to help users start a conversation with the bot.Currently, the chatbot is being tested on a limited scale in the Philippines and is not available to users in the US or Europe. Tako is currently only being tested in the Philippines.TikTok wouldn't be the first platform to roll out its own chatbot, as Snapchat has its own "My AI," powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT. Tako will also be powered by an AI model created by someone else at TikTok, but it's currently unclear who.
