MobileMe får ses som en av de mindre lyckade introduktioner i Apples historia. Utöver att det tog längre tid att starta igång har det också varit en hel del problem så som iWeb-sidor som ser konstiga ut och information som inte pushades, eller synkronisera, eller var det push...
Ja läget var något oklart en tid. Men nu har Apple uppdaterat sina informationssidor om MobileMe och det finns inte längre ett endaste ord om push mellan Mac och iPhone utan det är synkronisering med en 15 minuters intervall som gäller.
Det verkar som att det först och främst var Mac OS X-progammen som hade problem så vi antar att det antingen kommer en uppdatering som faktiskt sätter igång knuffandet eller så får vi vänta tills Snow Leopard släpps.
Om man ser krasst på det har Apple aldrig nämnt något om push mellan just Mac och resten även om det känns som hårklyveri.
Det skall också ha kommit ett mail från Apple om att MobileMe-användarna bjuds på 30 dagar gratisanvändning på grund av alla problem. Detta är dock inget som vi på Macfeber fått till våra gamla .Mac-adresser.
Inget mail har kommit heller..
Although core services such as Mail, iDisk, Sync, Back to My Mac, and Gallery went relatively smoothly, the new MobileMe web applications had lots of problems initially. Fortunately we have worked through those problems and the web apps are now up and running.
Another snag we have run into is our use of the word "push" in describing everything under the MobileMe umbrella. While all email, contact or calendar changes on the iPhone and the web apps are immediately synced to and from the MobileMe "cloud," changes made on a PC or Mac take up to 15 minutes to sync with the cloud and your other devices. So even though things are indeed instantly pushed to and from your iPhone and the web apps today, we are going to stop using the word "push" until it is near-instant on PCs and Macs, too.
We want to apologize to our loyal customers and express our appreciation for their patience by giving all current subscribers an automatic 30-day extension to their MobileMe subscription free of charge. Your extension will be reflected in your account settings within the next few weeks.

Man får 20GB men till vilken nytta?!?
Har själv inte haft några problem, men har inte heller fått något mejl om de trettio dagarna ännu. Det skickas väl ut batchvis.
Har ingen användning för det dock, tycker .Mac/MobileMe är så sjukt onödigt. Förstår inte att dom inte lägger ner projektet faktiskt.
30 dagar till - man tackar, man tackar.
Hoppas verkligen detta inte innebär att jag inte får de extra 30 dagarna...
För övrigt så har Mobile Me fungerat ganska bra för mig, förutom att jag verkligen inte kan få galleriet att fungera.
Börjar bli lite smått iriterad nu på att ha 1163:- låsta nu i semestertider..
