Offers half of the revenue to creators
The artist Grimes writes on Twitter that she offers to share half of the revenue from AI-generated songs that use her voice. She further writes that she does not have a record label or a legally binding agreement and that she wants to support "viral" or "super popular" songs that already use her voice.Grimes did not provide any details on how it would work, but she becomes one of the first artists to embrace voice cloning and artificial intelligence, which has become more popular in recent weeks. Just last week, we heard a song generated with voice models of Drake and The Weeknd, which quickly went viral and was then removed from streaming platforms. Universal Music Group then issued a statement claiming that training AI models on their artists' works was a copyright infringement.
