Honda unveils new ev

Named e:Ny1

Car manufacturers' names are becoming more and more boring and/or confusing. The latest addition is Honda's new electric car, the e:Ny1. It's a compact SUV that is fully electric and Honda promises "dynamics, responsive driving, and first-class driving comfort."

The car's platform is the brand new e:N Architecture F, hence the name perhaps. The car is Honda's second fully electric vehicle, following the cute little Honda e. Unfortunately, it seems that they haven't skimped on the goodies from that car and the interior is much more traditional, with a giant 15.1-inch screen in the middle.

The power output is 150 kW and the torque is 310 Nm. The battery is 68.8 kWh and the range is 412 kilometers according to WLTP. They claim to have "fast charging" that can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 45 minutes, which seems to be 100 kW.
