Tyska ABT Sportsline presenterar nu ABT RSQ8-R vilket är deras version av Audis super-SUV RS Q8. Motorn har trimmats upp från 600 till 750 hästar vilket bland annat gör att den kan toppa 315 km/h. Vridet har ökat från 800 till 920 newtonmeter och 0-100 km/h går nu på 3,4 istället för 3,8 sekunder. I övrigt har den fått ett helt nytt kjolpaket runt om, större fälgar på 23 tum, vassare bromsar, nytt sportavgassystem och en ny interiör.

125 stycken exemplar kommer att tillverkas och på prislappen står det 68.137 euro. Det priset gäller alltså bara för alla uppgraderingar, bilen får du stå för själv.

ABT Sportsline will only build 125 RSQ8-R, making it one of the most exclusive SUVs worldwide. This amazing vehicle features 740 hp (544 kW) and accelerates to 315 km/h. Moreover, there is a comprehensive aero package, 23-inch wheels and a new interior with much passion for detail. SUV with unique signature: Limited ABT RSQ8-R comes with aero package and 315 km/h. Big wheels for a great SUV: 23-inch ABT High Performance HR with 295/35 R23 tyres.

In 2021, ABT Sportsline will celebrate its 125th birthday. To increase the anticipation of the anniversary even more, there is now exactly one ABT RSQ8-R for each of these years. This strictly limited model is the ultimate expansion stage of a vehicle, which with 600 hp (441 kW) and 800 Nm in production trim, has already set a Nordschleife record for SUVs. A short time later, ABT Sportsline upped the ante with a performance upgrade to deliver 700 hp (515 kW) and 880 Nm right off the bat. Of course, the exclusive special model can even beat this. Here the high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control works in conjunction with a specially designed intercooler, resulting in 740 hp (544 kW) and 920 Nm. The world's leading tuner for vehicles from Audi and VW offers an optional top speed increase to 315 km/h. Until recently, this tempo range was clearly considered the territory of super sports cars. The rare RSQ8-R also knows how to make its presence felt acoustically. This is guaranteed by the stainless steel ABT exhaust system. With its four 102-mm end pipes, it also makes a visual statement.

ABT Sportsline in Germany is the world’s largest tuner for vehicles of the VW Group, especially for Audi models. The product line ranges from more engine power to body kits, over suspensions and interior design, to an extensive collection of alloy wheels. The ABT Individual program allows even for exclusive tailor-made solutions. The Bavaria-based company also competes in racing activities at the highest international level: For example for Audi at the DTM (German Touring Car Masters) or also very successfully at the Formula E. The first steps in the electric racing series were already taken in 2014 and crowned with the championship title in 2017.

At the cutting edge of technology since 1896

The roots of ABT Sportsline go back to a farrier’s shop which was founded in Kempten, Bavaria, in 1896. Their most innovative product: A carriage which, thanks to a clever folding mechanism, could be used as a sled. Soon after, the focus turned to motor vehicles: From approx. 1920 on, AUTO-ABT sold and repaired the former brands, which later gave birth to the Audi AG. This set the stage for the company’s situation today. In 1950, Johann Abt, the founder’s grandson, won his first car race and laid the foundation for the company’s racing activities. But he also enjoyed fast cars in everyday life. For this reason he founded ABT Tuning in 1967, in 1978 he tuned the first VW Golf and already in 1980 he brought the first chip tuning product to the market. After that, things went very quickly. Finally, in 1991, the new prestigious company headquarters, which also includes an own museum, were established in the “Johann Abt”-Street. In 2014, a motor sport center was added.
