• American premium brand elevates and expands portfolio
• New models help fuel global growth
• Elmiraj grand coupe expresses pure driving enjoyment
• 2014 CTS ascends into heart of upper mid-size premium market
• Extended range electric Cadillac ELR offers new dimension of advanced

GLATTPARK/ZÜRICH – Cadillac is expanding its portfolio with an array of new models
as visitors of this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show can witness at the Cadillac display in Hall 9.
Two European premieres – the Elmiraj Concept Coupe and the CTS, an all-new upper midsize premium sedan – are being unveiled in Europe for the first time. The extended range
electric ELR coupe will have its German debut.
Cadillac is elevating and expanding its portfolio as part of a long-term mission to reclaim its
place within the highest levels of the global premium market.
New models, like the award winning ATS sport sedan, the dramatic ELR electric premium
coupe, the CTS with its most engaging driving performance, and the Elmiraj Concept
Coupe appeal to a new generation of customers and will further expand the presence of the
Cadillac brand in Europe.
Cadillac is the fastest growing full line premium automotive brand. It’s 30 percent growth
rate in both the U.S. and worldwide, year-to-date, marks the highest increase for Cadillac
Elmiraj: embodying pure driving enjoyment
The Elmiraj Concept showcases a new vision for luxury driving and proudly sits at the top of
the brand’s expanding range. It provides an insight into how the Cadillac Studio envisions
performance and luxury for the next generation of discerning drivers.
Influenced in particular by the 1967 Eldorado, the Elmiraj is a modern update to the classic
format of a two-door grand coupe. Elmiraj is a pure expression of streamlined design and a
statement of luxury and performance with a purposeful character and proportion.
At 521 cm in overall length, the four-seater commands presence and poise, taking up where
the memorable Ciel Concept left off.
The Elmiraj advances Cadillac’s philosophy of dramatic design and performance, and
strengthens the company’s commitment to lightweight, agile cars. It is constructed with
chassis and structural elements of an ongoing Cadillac vehicle development project
slated for future production. This new vehicle architecture expands the brand’s pledge to
lightweight RWD performance, exemplified in the ATS sport sedan and the all-new and
elevated 2014 CTS, launching in Europe in early 2014.
The Elmiraj is powered by a 4.5-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine delivering an estimated
500 hp. The long wheelbase and clean body side characterize the car’s spacious
dimensions and high status.
The car’s instrumentation features an analog tachometer and speedometer, both of which
are transparent. A wide high-resolution display, that projects driver information and the
output from a front-mounted camera, sits directly behind the analog gauges.
The 10-inch touchscreen navigation and connectivity screen is concealed inside the
instrument panel when not in use.
The 2+2 layout features high-performance seats, designed to support spirited driving while
also delivering luxury accommodation.
The Cadillac Crest appears in a conceptual form, streamlined and tailored to the car’s
overall design. This design idea for a revised crest reflects the fact that Cadillac’s
unmistakable symbol has evolved dozens of times through history to mark new eras and
design achievements.
Designers at General Motors’ advanced design studio in North Hollywood, California, led
the development of the car’s interior and exterior. The Elmiraj on display in Frankfurt was
hand-built by in-house craftsmen in Michigan.

Bigger, better, lighter CTS positioned at heart of upper mid-size luxury market
The all-new 2014 CTS has ascended to the very heart of the upper mid-size luxury market
with improved luxury and sophisticated technology. The car is longer, lower, leaner and
features lightweight technologies, including aluminum door structures, that contribute to a
lower curb weight and nearly 50/50 weight balance.
The result is an orchestra of parts all working in perfect tune to create the most engaging
driving performance in its segment.
Four trim levels – Elegance, Luxury, Performance and Premium – will be offered with rearwheel or all-wheel drive.
All models come standard with front Brembo brakes with ferritic-nitro carburizing (FNC)
anti-corrosion rotors. They give the CTS stopping power that Cadillac expects to be best
in class. Magnetic Ride Control, the world’s fastest-reacting suspension and a hallmark of
V-Series models, comes as standard. Selectable drive modes allow drivers to adjust the
vehicle’s performance dynamics for touring, ice and snow, or sport driving.
Inside, the CTS is equipped with Cadillac User Experience (CUE), Cadillac’s breakthrough
system for connectivity and control, featuring an eight-inch fully reconfigurable touch screen.
CUE brings tablet-like functionality into the CTS with functions such as haptic feedback,
proximity sensing to reveal hidden icons, gesture recognition and capacitive touch.
A 5.7-inch display in the instrument cluster allows the driver to control radio, phone and
navigation functions through steering wheel controls without having to take his eyes off the
The new CTS will come standard with an 11-speaker Bose premium audio system, DAB+

portable media devices with three USB ports, and auxiliary and SD card ports.
The all-new 2014 Cadillac ELR: a new dimension of advanced technology
Provocative and progressive, the ELR is the first car with Extended Range Electric Vehicle
(EREV) technology by a full-line premium automotive brand. It will be sold as of early
2014 in North America, expanding to global markets including Europe and China in the
second half of 2014. The vehicle marks an unprecedented combination of luxury, advanced
engineering and progressive design in a coupe that is both sporty and environmentally
Its industry-leading EREV technology provides a full driving range exceeding 480 km on
a single battery charge and tank, blending pure electric driving and an efficient, rangeextending 1.4L gasoline powered generator. Electric power is supplied by a T-shaped 16.5
kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be completely recharged in about 4.5 hours using a
240V charging station.
The ELR comes equipped with advanced chassis and suspension systems, including
continuous damping control and a comprehensive array of state-of-the-art active safety
features. CUE with navigation is standard. Inside, the ELR’s classic 2+2 layout is driverfocused, emphasizing modern luxury, connectivity and precisely crafted details.
The Cadillac ELR has an aggressive, forward-leaning profile that introduces a new,
progressive theme and proportion in Cadillac’s design evolution. Signature vertical head
lamp and tail lamp elements – a brand tradition since 1948 – distinguish the ELR as a
privileged member of the Cadillac family.
Cadillac has been a leading luxury auto brand since 1902. In recent years, Cadillac has engineered
a historic renaissance led by artful engineering and advanced technology. Its European lineup includes the award-winning ATS sport sedan, the CTS and CTS-V sedan, coupe and sport
wagon, the SRX crossover and the Escalade, a full-size SUV. In 2014, Cadillac will be introducing
the new CTS premium sedan, the ELR - the world's first luxury coupe with extended range
technology - as well as the next generation Escalade. More information on Cadillac can be found at
