Volvo blir först med Gemini i sina bilar
Prata med Googles chatbot när du kör
Under gårdagens Google I/O-presentation meddelade Google att man arbetar med flera biltillverkare för att implementera sin chatbot Gemini i bilarnas system. Idag uppgav Volvo att man som första biltillverkare kommer att börja köra Gemini i de modeller som är försedda med Googles operativsystem Android Automotive OS.
Gemini kommer att ersätta Google Assistant i Volvos bilar och innebär att föraren kommer att kunna prata mer naturligt när de ger röstkommandon till bilen. Volvo skriver i ett pressmeddelande:
"You can talk naturally to craft messages, translate them into another language before sending, ask questions from the car’s user manual or learn specific details about your destination. This kind of natural conversation can help reduce your cognitive load so that you can stay focused on driving, reducing distractions for everyone onboard."
Google Gemini kommer till Volvos bilar med Android Automotive någon gång senare i år. Volvo meddelade även att deras samarbete med Google innebär att Volvo-ägare kommer att bli bland de första som får nya uppdateringar som Google släpper till Android Automotive.
