Microsoft Defender kommer till Linux
Windows antivirus-tjänst dyker upp på en plattform till
Under förra veckans Microsoft Ignite-konferens i Orlando avslöjade techjätten att deras antivirus-system Microsoft Defender kommer till Linux nästa år.
Microsoft Defender är det som på Windows 10 kallas för Windows Defender, en antivirus-tjänst som räknas till en av de bättre i världen. Windows Defender använder sig bland annat av något som Microsoft kallar för "Microsoft Intelligent Security Graph" för att upptäcka hot mot datorer eller användare. Rob Lefferts är chef för Microsofts M365 Security och han säger om Microsoft Intelligent Security Graph:
"It's built into Defender ATP, Office 365, and Azure. We have signals built into events, behaviors, and things as simple as a user logged on to a machine or as complicated as the behavior of the memory layout in Word on this device is different to what it normally looks like.Essentially we have sensors across all the identities, endpoints, cloud apps, and infrastructure and they're sending all of this to a central place inside Microsoft's cloud."
Microsoft meddelade tidigare i år att Windows Defender även kommer till macOS samt som plugin till de båda webbläsarna Chrome och Firefox. Windows Defender till Linux förväntas dyka upp någon gång under nästa år.
