Epic ska fixa Easy Anti-Cheat till Windows på ARM-datorer
Så att det går att lira Fortnite och annat på dem
Epic Games skriver i ett blogginlägg att man har börjat samarbeta med Qualcomm så att Epics antifusk-system "Easy Anti-Cheat" (EAC) ska fungera på Windows-datorer som kör Qualcomms ARM-processorer Snapdragon. I blogginlägget skriver Epic Games bland annat:
"Over the last year, the introduction of Windows 11 Arm-based laptops has transformed the PC landscape, and laptops with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series processors represent a rapidly growing segment of the PC gaming market. However, the majority of PC games today are compiled for x64, which doesn’t translate directly to the Windows on Snapdragon architecture. Due to the way anti-cheat software works with x64 features, additional tooling is required for compatibility with these devices."
Epic Games och Qualcomm kommer att testa EAC på Snapdragon-datorer med Windows tillsammans med Epics populära spel Fortnite. Går de testerna som de ska så kommer sannolikt fler spel som använder EAC att kunna dyka upp på ARM-datorerna framöver. Bland spel som idag använder EAC finns Apex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, Battlefield-serien, Dead by Daylight, Rust och Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
