Kontoihopslagning i Fortnite skjuts upp till nästa år

I september tog Sony äntligen sitt förnuft till fånga och aktiverade cross-platform-stöd för Fortnite-spelare. Innan dess var det inte möjligt för Fortnite-spelare som kopplat sina Epic-konton till Playstation-plattformen att lira på andra plattformar som Nintendo Switch. Dessa användare var då tvungna att skapa nya Epic-konton för att kunna lira på sina hybridkonsoler.
Epic Games meddelade kort efter att Sony fått rättat sig i cross-platform-ledet att spelare med flera Epic Games-konton kommer kunna slå samman kontona och få belöningar på ett och samma ställe.
Egentligen skulle vi börja slå samman våra konton redan i år, men det kommer inte ske på grund av tekniska bekymmer. I ett inlägg på Fortnite-hemsidan skriver Epic Games detta:
“Due to some ongoing technical concerns, we will be delaying the Account Merge feature until early next year. We want to make sure that this process is thoroughly tested and working properly before releasing it to those of you currently looking to transfer purchases from other accounts to your primary account. We’ll be sure to update you as we get closer to the release of the feature, which will include a web page on launch to help guide you through the flow!”
