Nästan 800 anställda får gå från Activision Blizzard

I förrgår skrev vi om ett rykte gällande att Activision Blizzard skulle säga upp ett större antal av sina anställda och det visade sig vara ett rykte som stämde.
Under ett investerarsamtal inför rapporteringen av företagets kvartalsresultat så meddelade Activision Blizzard att man skulle säga upp närmare 8 procent av sin arbetsstyrka. Det skulle innebära att runt 800 av företagets 9600 anställda riskerar att bli av med sina jobb.
I en pressrelease som skickades ut igår skriver Activisions vd Bobby Kotick:
"While our financial results for 2018 were the best in our history, we didn’t realize our full potential. To help us reach our full potential, we have made a number of important leadership changes. These changes should enable us to achieve the many opportunities our industry affords us, especially with our powerful owned franchises, our strong commercial capabilities, our direct digital connections to hundreds of millions of players, and our extraordinarily talented employees."
Activision Blizzard kommer att presenterar resultatet för senaste kvartalet senare idag.
