Nvidia ska investera 1 miljard dollar i Nokia

I ett pressmeddelande berättar nu Nokia att Nvidia kommer att investera 1 miljard dollar i det finska bolaget. Det betyder att man köper 166 miljoner aktier till ett pris på 6 dollar styck. Efter affären kommer Nvidia att äga 2,9 procent av Nokia.
Bolagen kommer efter affären att bli strategiska partners och man tror att affären kommer att öka värdet på båda bolagen. Nokia kommer att använda investeringen för att få igång 5G- och 6G-mjukvara som ska rulla på Nvidias arkitektur.
Nokia will use the proceeds from the issuance to accelerate its strategic plans to advance trusted connectivity for the AI supercycle and other general corporate purposes. Nokia intends to accelerate development of Nokia’s 5G & 6G RAN software to run on NVIDIA’s architecture and will make investments to drive Nokia’s strategic goal of increasing its presence in the AI & Cloud market with data center aligned networking solutions within its Network Infrastructure business. Nokia and NVIDIA have agreed to collaborate on AI networking solutions and explore opportunities to incorporate Nokia’s data center switching and optical technologies in NVIDIA’s future AI infrastructure architecture.
Nokias aktie steg kraftigt efter beskedet och kostar nu 7,5 dollar.
